At CareerCrafter™
we recognize that everyone one of us goes through a career
cycle. It starts early in life with our first job - usually in
high school. That career path then may change by service in
the Armed Forces, college, technical school or some combination of
each. At that point in our lives, in choosing a college major
for example, we are tending to define much of the rest of our lives
- what we do, what we might earn, where we might live, etc.
Did you know that there are interest and career assessments tools
that can help anyone in their career cycle to identify their
passions and best vocations?
In being a complete career counseling
service, we recognize it is more than just finding what a person
wants to do - though that is very important. We further
realize that gaining tools and support is necessary for that
person's - our customer's - ultimate career success. That is
why we offer resume writing services, company research services, job
interview practice, salary negotiation, job networking, military
transition and many other services. To find the right
vocation, then the right employer, then the right positions takes a
comprehensive approach. It is a mosaic. There is not
just one tool or one approach that works every time and for
everyone.
During the career cycle, after our first jobs as
adults, the desire to 'move up' - to be promoted, get a raise, get a
bonus - start to come into play. How is this best
achieved? Are we all actively managing our careers? When
is the last time you compared your resume to a job description you
liked? Do you fit that job? Are your skills
transferable?
As we continue through the career cycle, often
obtaining some promotions, raises, etc., many of us will eventually
slow down, get laid off, want a career change, have our jobs
outsourced. If it hasn't happened to you, you know someone to
whom it has happened. Regardless the reason for change, the
fact of change during our careers is a fact. How will
you be prepared? Do you know what you want to do next?
Do you have transferable skills? Are you in an old industry
that is being overtaken by overseas competitors?
Perhaps you are nearing retirement or want to go out
on your own as an entrepreneur. Both choices are very
significant and have life-long implications. Do you want an
active retirement? Perhaps as a consultant? Are you well
suited for the risk in becoming a business owner? Have you
ever managed your own employees before? We can help you answer
these questions.
We are here to help. We help you to identify
the tools and the methods to make a successful change. Please
feel free to contact us with your inquiry. You are welcome to
a no cost introduction to our company, our people and our service.
